I have lived in the Pacific Northwest since 1980--Alaska for 6 years, Oregon for 11 years, and, currently, Washington for 12 years. Much of my time has been spent doing environmental work--teaching or protecting natural resources with the National Park Service, Forest Service and Audubon. Picture is looking up the Middle Fork of the Salmon River, Idaho, at its confluence with the Main Salmon. Bob and I put together a private river trip (we were in a canoe) of the Middle Fork, a wilderness river, this July. Congratulations and cheers to all.....looks like it was a fabulous reunion. |

Many years and memories have passed since graduation. I remember all the foolish things I did at DHS and now at the final stagges of my life I wish I could apologize to anyone I did harm to or made uncomfortable. I have been able to find a few who I asked forgiveness from so I guess I'm not a total loss. A real eye opener was my vacation to South East Asia where I learned to eat and sleep in the rain. and keep my head down in the lead storm. One hit to my right arm gave me a real wakeup call. Marines look nice but I would rather go to school. I left the Marines in 1973 and graduated "with honors" in 1977. Thanks to Agent Orange I now have Diabetes and a Skin desease called Chloreacne. Other things too but I better make amends before it is too late--Thanks for listening Jim 2012 |
