Greetings Sue (Dickman Klein),

Thank you for calling and I've got you included in our reservation.  It is going to be a good time especially hearing  all of Ed's stories in person.  Steve says that you're in touch with Tina so you'll be happy to know that she'll be at all the events and will be in CT from Thursday until Sunday.  Looking forward to seeing you next Friday!

Hi all,

Well our gathering is right around the corner now.  Can you even believe it?  Thursday afternoon our BFF's start arriving.  Can't wait...can't wait...can't wait!

I will be confirming reservations with both 'The Goose' and 'Hopkins Inn' this weekend so please let me know if you are planning on being with us but haven't contacted me yet. So far, Stu traver has the distance record, coming in from Singapore.  Suzanne Ferree Kent is coming from Fort Worth and Dennis Sulivan is coming from Chicago. Any other distance travelers?

See you Friday!

Day Two of DHS reunion, Class of 72. Wee Burn tonight and back beach @ Weed tomorrow.  Same old same old.  Stories the same - trips back from Port Chester no one should have survived, etc.  Last night was @ Piedmont, downstairs. Hot as hell.  Lots of people standing outside. Food was OK. Here to next weekend. Probably not til 27th.  Adios. GW

George- Curb your enthusiasm! You're right about the drunk driving stuff- nothing funny there, especially those with kids.

Here is the website for DHS 1972 Reunion.

ET home!
Got in from Harpers Ferry, WV on June 23 after a three month hike on the Appalachian Trail starting in Springer Mt., GA.
Yes, there is a little less Ed, but I don't  qualify for 'Americas biggest losers' even though I'm fully vested in the stock market.
Did half the trail this time out (1000 miles), and hope to finish the rest  in the future.
I did not see a bear.  Can't believe it
The Grayson Highlands had little wild horses that would munch on  the grass aroung your tent all night. Great
It was 19 degrees and snowing in the Smokies. Windy too. Froze
I got into some nasty water before  the Shenandoah and turned into a protozoan fire hydrant before getting meds at Front Royal. Ugh.
But gee, it was FUN!
Now, who is going to join me next year to finish the trek from Harpers Ferry to Katahdin?
Mardie Porter on July 1, 2012 7:14 PM
 Hey Ed,
We'll hike with you for a leg of the journey in Maine, if the timing works out! And, free shuttle to our house for a shower and sleepover. We've hiked pieces of it many times, and camped. Our favorites: Old Speck, Baldpate, Bigelow, Saddleback, Barren Mountain and Moxie Bald. Best places for us to reach you are before Saddleback or after Crocker near Sugarloaf. Between Old Speck and Baldpate is another option. Keep us posted!
